►WOOD: Each live edge guitar body is uniquely hand-crafted and custom designed from weathered-down trees found around metropolitan Phoenix, Arizona. By acquiring these logs, it allows me to create 100% sustainable, re-purposed live edge wood art designs. Locally source and made in North Peoria, Arizona. It takes about 200 hours or more to complete each guitar build. Every guitar build is handmade without the aid of any CNC machine. Both sides of the slab goes to a router sled table to obtain desired flat surface and thickness. As the wood slab ages, noticeable cracks on the wood may appear due to its natural dry cracking process and changes in humidity and temperature. Any voids or cracks from the wood are sealed with epoxy to maintain integrity of the wood.
►BODY: The body is slight heavier due to being desert hardwood. Each body is hand-sanded and shape with minimal power tool use. Since desert hardwood materials are more dense and heavier in weight, the overall thickness between 1-1/2”-1-5/8” to lessen the overall weight of the body. This configuration is only for use with Hardtail fixed bridges. No CNC machine is ever used to shape our guitar bodies. Every guitar body I make starts by harvesting the log myself, put in the sawmill and cut to slabs and shape into a functioning custom made desert hardwood electric guitar with fractal art. Proudly handmade in North Peoria, Arizona.

►PICKUPS: Guihan Fractal Guitars use Seymour Duncan pickups for all custom deluxe and platinum guitar builds.
Price changes if you choose to upgrade to Seymour Duncan signature series pickups, Lambertones, EMG, EVH, Lolar pickups or request different pickup brand for your custom Guihan guitar build.
►STRINGS: Stringjoy SJ-BAL10 Signatures | Balanced Light Gauge (10-48) Nickel Wound Electric Guitar Strings. String Joy strings are expertly crafted in Nashville, TN.
►TUNERS: Gotoh® SG381 six in line, sealed diecast, locking tuning machines in black finish.
►BRIDGE: Gotoh SB-5115 through-body string. Non-Tremolo Bridge with Steel Saddles at 2-1/16" string spacing.
►BRIDGE: Guihan Fractal Guitars use Gotoh, through-body string or top loading mounting hardtail bridge.
For tremolo bridge setup, Floyd Rose, Wilkinson/Gotoh VSVG vintage, GFS D01 vintage bridge are available as upgrades. Note*** Tremolo bridge setup will require the body thickness at 1-3/4”. This will make the entire guitar slightly heavier than Fender, Gibson or PRS guitars.

►FRACTAL ART: A process of applying 20,000 volts of electricity to the wood surface recreating a lightning strike in slow motion as well as unique abstract figures, tree and vein like shapes. It is sealed with epoxy inlay ink self-leveling high gloss U.V. resistant formula. *Warning: Don’t try this at home. It is fatal and deadly.
►EPOXY COLOR: Oklahoma State University orange pigment.
►OIL FINISH: Two coats of hand rubbed Old Masters clear satin gel polyurethane is applied on the guitar bodies.. Old Masters Gel Polyurethane is an oil-based clear gel finish that exhibits a soft sheen and a hand-rubbed look.
To revitalize desert hardwood, apply John Boos Mystery oil with a cloth. Wipe around the wood surface evenly. Wipe off excess.
►TIMELINE: Guihan Fractal Guitars current timeline for completion is about 3-6 months from the time order is received. Every guitar build is handmade without the aid of any CNC machine.

What is the story behind the name GUIHAN?

►PICKUPS FOR THIS MODEL:
Seymour Duncan SSL-6 High Ouput Single Coil set. The Custom Flat for Strat is a specially overwound single-coil that strikes the perfect balance between increased output, and bouncy Stratocaster tonal character. Your single notes will sound bold, and your solos will really sing. The middle position Custom Flat RWRP for Stratocaster uses the same flat hand-ground Alnico 5 rod magnets and special high-output coil winding as the standard version, but is made reverse wound/reverse polarity to provide noiseless operation when combined with the neck or bridge pickups in positions 2 and 4. On its own, it will give you the same balanced, beefed up, and punchy tone as the standard wound model.
